The initial five images are lit candles shot in a dark room with the images reversed and color altered in post-editing. This was to create a universe or galaxy effect.

Next are three images that pay homage to current photographers, Jason Salavon, Paho Mann & Priya Kambli respectively,  each having a unique take on the photographic image. The image of the child is 14 photos, layered on each other at 15% opacity, resulting in an eerie child image (me). I photographed my drawers as Mann did, not realizing I had more junk drawers than I initially thought! The last of this series was also homage to my grandmother who sewed. By using sewing notions, I created a new image by placing the tangible items on the old photos that represented what my grandmother used when she sewed.

The next three are cyanotype style images, created in post-editing.

The final two images (my personal favorites) are homage to the New Topographics from the 1970's and before, which in some instances brought to light the grain silos and industrial complexes of the time.
